Porter Square Wednesday Morning.

this just happened to me today, so i gotta get it out there while it's still fresh in my head. I can't make this shit up.

i did standup last night at the middle east, it was fun. this morning I was getting ready to cross the street at Porter Sq going to get a coffee and I hear a voice from my left and the guy asks "Hey weren't you at the middle east last night?" I said yeah. He showed me his Middle East shirt, he told me he works there and was doing the door for downstairs. I asked him if he heard any of the comics. He said "Yeah, some of them were funny. Some of them weren't. One guy made a joke about jerking off to Brittany Murphy. That was hilarious. And I didn't know that so I went home and looked it up." I was like "That was me!" and he was psyched. I noticed while we were talking that the WALK sign was on but he wasn't crossing the street, I thought maybe because we were standing there talking. Then I didn't have to wonder anymore because he says "I'm waiting for a cop." He shows me his left wrist which was a pair of handcuffs on the one wrist. "My crazy girlfriend locked me up last night and left me there. I picked one of the cuffs with a pin, but I was picking the second one and the pin broke. I didn't want to have one cuff hanging from my wrist so I cuffed it on the same one. So now I'm waiting for a cop so i can explain this to them and ask to unlock me. I've been waiting for 45 minutes" I then introduced myself formally, shook his hand, and went to get that coffee.

NON UPDATE

hi, if I met you on the recent MATT KONA: KONAFIDE European Tour (featuring Social Circkle)
When I got home the tape of "Live At Leeds" (which MAY include Live In London, either parts 1 or 2) seems kind of busted.
I'm waiting for my generous engineer (the man responsible for bringing my voice from tape to mp3 to your ears) to return home and then we'll see if it's salvageable.

Uh, yeah. What else is in the news? I now have DOUBLE the amount of unsatisfactory youtube video clips up, this one is the tail end of my "singing and dancing tour de force" in Prague, Czech Republic. We were wandering the streets, being greeted by various friendly gentlemen trying to get us to come into their strip clubs (with names such as "Hot Pepper") and we found a man walking amongst his friends a few feet (sorry METERS) in front of us with an acoustic guitar and he started playing "Wonder Wall" so we all joined in on singing, startling the man, who then breathed a sigh of confused relief and kept playing.

For some reason I thought it would be fun to do a weird "jig" next to him. At one point I take off to find a wall so I can better act out song lyrics. That didn't work out so well, though.

Anyhow here is the footage after most of the funny parts. (thats me on the left)

NO RADIO CONTACT

Sorry this hasn't been updated in a bit.

I'm on the fence about posting every set, or just some.

I feel like if I keep posting each one then the legions of fans will dissipate at the huge comedy events that I grace with my time.

Between the last update and this I made my first appearance on Youtube.
Possibly the worst debut ever. (Next to the first time Rednex was heard by human ears)

I was asked by Male Nurses to jump up and do a set before they played at the Midway Cafe.
I don't usually drink that much before shows ("Lemmy Rule" 2 beers before, then I can drink once I'm there) but because I didn't expect to go up I was pretty drunk.

I also didn't have my "kona gear" (i.e. my hat/tape recorder and NON WHITE SHORTS. I also had my boots on too, which made for a pretty brutal look.)

See for yourselves. My apologies.

All Asia Cafe Cafe 8/19

I went to the All Asia Cafe to sign up for the open mic. When I asked how much time I had, I was told "two songs."

So this is my longest performance yet. I went first and nobody really cared. But I think the bartender liked it.
